by Julie Byrne Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Those seeking a deeper relationship with Christ through membership in the Roman Catholic Church are guided through the RCIA process.

The vision of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is that the faith journey of every individual is respected and nurtured by the ministry of the Body of Christ – each and every one of us! The Rite specifically defines the role of the assembly: “The people of God . . . should understand and show by their concern that the initiation of adults is the responsibility of all the baptized . . . Hence, the entire community must help the candidates and the catechumens throughout the process of initiation.” (9)

RCIA Inquiry Sessions

The first period of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is called the period of Inquiry, or the Precatechumenate. Members of our parish RCIA team meet with those exploring a Christian way of life to answer their questions and to introduce them to Catholic Tradition. If you are seeking a relationship with God in Christ through this faith community, please contact Kathleen Dancey to learn more about the RCIA process. She can be reached at 421-7652 or kdancey@columbus.rr.com.

Inquiry sessions will be each Sunday after the 11:00 am Mass. Sessions will be held in the Church hall.
